Roohi Trailer: The follow-up to ‘Stree’ promises more entertainment

-

The trailer of ‘Roohi’ opens with a scene that will remind one of the last year’s movie, ‘Bulbul’. Then there is another sequence that reminds of Anushka Sharma’s, ‘Pari’ and all over there is an essence of ‘Stree’ throughout the trailer. Jahnvi Kapoor plays an abducted woman possessed by a witch, and Rajkumar Rao and Varun Sharma are the men trying to rescue her.

The film which was earlier titled ‘Rooh Afzah’ and ‘Rooh Afzana’ is a follow-up to the 2018 film ‘Stree’ that has its own share of spook moments and moments that will make one laugh out loud.’ Roohi promises to be a laugh riot with Roohi scaring the shit out of the men.

On Tuesday Rajkumar Rao shared the trailer saying,” Watch the #RoohiTrailer at your own risk kyunki iss Baar mard ko jyada dard hoga!”

Soon after the release of the trailer, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma took to Twitter to share a few posters of the movie.

Dinesh Vinjan, the producer talking about the movie said, “While Stree was a genre-bending tale that gave audiences something never seen before, Roohi takes this vision a step further by offering the same brand of spine chilling scares and quirky comedy. With a partner like Jio Studios that share our passion for the eponymous ‘bada parda’, we hope ‘Roohi’ rekindles the audience’s long-standing romance with the silver screen. It is a film tailor-made to be viewed at your nearest theatre.”

‘Roohi’ releases in theatres on 11th March 2021.
