Kolkata, Dec 1: With registration already closed in multiple categories of TSK 25K’s fifth edition, Tollywood’s star and fitness guru Tota Roychoudhury today urged the people of Kolkata to join the Ananda Run and be part of the heart & soul of the event . An added advantage for the registered participants of the Ananda run is to be part of the lucky handful to be a part of Sourav Ganguly’s “Dada’s XI” gang.
The 25k, 10k, 5k and senior citizen’s categories were oversubscribed of Tata Steel Kolkata 25k edition of 2018. In the 25k there are limited charity running spots available at first cum first serve basis with our philanthropy partner India Cares.
Tota, who was present today to cheer the different running groups across the city at a Promo run in Salt Lake, said: “Kolkata is the cultural capital, but it has a sporting side that can’t be ignored. We have some of the best female athletes from the city besides stars in all major sports, including the iconic Sourav Ganguly. So it’s only natural that Kolkata will accept running as second habit. I am happy to see the large crowd that has gathered here and I wish them all the best.”
Mr.Rabindranath IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar Commisionerate was also present on the occasion and the duo gave out mementos to the winners in the 5k warm up run. In the men’s category Niraj Singh, Dinesh kumarJha and Snajit Sadhukhan won the top honours respectively, while in the ladies they were Neharika Saraf, Pinly Biswas and Shall Bajaj.
Ananda Run has become even more lucrative with the announcement of Dada’s XI where the lucky group will get to meet Sourav Ganguly in person.
