Skin Icing: Try this Unique Hack this Summer

-

‘Skin icing’ is a common skincare method among celebrities in both the East and the West. This fascinating trick is not only effective, but it also benefits the skin in numerous ways. From spas to cryotherapy, this is something you can do at home by yourself. Let’s take a look into it.

What is skin icing?

In its most simplified way, skin icing involves taking ice and rubbing it to the skin to alleviate issues such as puffiness. When you apply ice to your skin, blood flows to the surface, tightening and soothing it. Low temperatures are often used in specialized beauty treatments to achieve these effects, but you can get a similar glow at home by gently massaging your face with ice cubes for several minutes.

Here are some benefits of face icing:

  • Pore-reduction:

If you’re tired of using numerous skincare products to reduce the appearance of pores, might as well try this too. People with a combination skin type, especially in the summer, can be distressed. To extract sebum and dirt and partially contracting pores, apply ice to the skin.

It will help minimize the appearance of pores along with toning and giving a natural glow.

  • Reducing puffiness and inflammation:

Inflammation is a widespread issue that can cause facial puffiness. The key to reducing puffiness is to put an ice cube to the forehead, which will provide instant relief. People who suffer from Acne, in particular, may benefit from this as it reduces skin inflammation.

  • Exfoliation in a different way:

Fill the ice tray halfway with milk and freeze it. Start taking it out of the container and apply it to your face as necessary. Since milk is full of lactic acid and vitamin A, it may also exfoliate. For the best results, carve your face with the ice cube.

  • Improved active absorption:

When you rub ice to the skin, it instantly cools it down and can also help rejuvenate the skin to absorb actives in future skincare steps. As a result, it improves the absorption and performance of your high-end skincare.

  • Increased blood circulation:

One of the reasons why using ice on your skin is beneficial is that it improves blood flow in your face. This increased blood flow improves the skin’s elasticity and compresses blood vessels, reducing swelling and allowing the skin to appear healthy and young.
