Kolkata, Feb: Dhulaiwala, an App-based laundry service and a start-up from the city, aiming to invest approximately RS 20 crore to attain its target of setting up around 100 stores across the country by the end of 2018.
Kolkata being the home city, has 13 stores existing already and Dhulaiwala aims at having 50 stores by the end of 2018 in the city itself that will be serviced by the Dhulaiwala Palace an uber-modern facility with sophisticated washing solutions. This is not all.
They will add 5 stores each in Guwahati, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and 10 each in Chennai and Hyderabad. They are also looking at setting up stores in Ranchi, Gaya, Patna, Tatanagar, Rourkella, Raipur, Bhagalpur, Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. They are also looking at the district towns in Bengal like Asansol, Durgapur, Burdwan, Bolepur and Siliguri.
“We plan to reach every corner of the country with this concept. While setting up stores and hubs in the metros will happen, we are consciously planning to take the services to Tier II cities where there is aspiration for an easier lifestyle and demand for such services,” said and Vivek Agarwal, Founder and CEO, Dhulaiwala Group.
He added that while Dhulaiwala will directly own most of the stores and hubs, they are looking at partners also to take up Dhulaiwala franchise provided they meet the standards and requirements demanded from the brand. Kolkata already has 15 stores running all of which are franchise owned.
Every now and then the urban lifestyle is completely changed by an innovation, an idea that is both revolutionary and yet simple. It is with this vision that Dhulaiwala group has brought the Laundromat concept to this part of the world and simplified it with self-owned stores, franchise model, pick-up and drop facilities, timed deliveries, relief from self washing and service at the users’ convenience.
Dhulaiwala is thus a contemporary App- based laundry service with state-of-the-art technology and inbuilt amenities of door-to-door pickup and delivery facility in real time. Dhulaiwala laundry has been working at the grassroots level of industrial, residential as well as corporate through its ventures. As part of its continuous efforts to keep a balance between work and life, Dhulaiwala in its little modest way has tried to fill in the gap and provide a solution that will give the ladies of the house a little more time with the close ones.
“Today most of the households are molecular where both husband and wife are working members of a family. Even homes where we have housewives they are burdened with the cumbersome work of washing coupled with electricity bills if machines are used. Dhulaiwala is an app based automated laundry format that gives complete solution to your washing problems on a strict deadline. All one needs to do is download the app and order,” said Vivek Agarwal.
He then went on to add: “Climate is a big issue in this part of the world. With Dhulaiwala you can actually get your washing done irrespective of the weather.”
