“I think every actor should tell their story. That is the only way we can preserve the history of Indian cinema,” said Hema Malini. She also asked young writers to work on biographies. “I would appreciate if writers do books on Majhrooh Sultanpuri, Girija Devi and Sahir Ludhianvi,” she added. In a candid chat with Ram Kamal she added that he should write a book on Dharmendra next. “Dharamji worked from Bimal Roy to Anil Sharma, his story will sum up the entire history of Bollywood,” added Hema. Speaking about the book author Ram Kamal Mukherjee said, “This is a complete book. I guess some people rush and end up publishing book way before time. Hemaji completed 50 glorious years in Bollywood, and this is the right time to tell her story.” The session was followed by book signing.
