At the Asian Achievers Awards, held recently in London, the business tycoon was conferred with the ever prestigious Business Person of the Year Award for his tremendous contribution and innovative solutions to the IT and Telecom sector.
The IT Magnate was presented with this international accolade for setting a benchmark and turning his company into a thriving success story on the world map.
Still a Bengal boy at heart, the Ghana based Indian entrepreneur has had many achievements under his belt sprawled over his 20 years of illustrious career. Under his leadership, the group’s revenues have not only increased by over 3000 per cent, the company has also been named amongst the continent’s fastest growing tech companies.
Keeping in line with this, Mr Sasmal said, “It is extremely gratifying to have been honored with this award. To be able to make a difference in our own way in the world and to be recognized for it is very humbling.”
The IT expert, with deep roots in Bengal, further added, “I hope my work inspires every young individual to believe in themselves and take risks to achieve their dreams, however unconventional they might be.”
Currently, the tycoon has been planning to extend his IT expertise to the state, which will make him the protagonist in introducing artificial intelligence to West Bengal and provide the latest technology training and create maximum employment opportunities here.
With this, Birendra Sasmal intends to reach out to every individual of even the remotest places to realize and excel in their dreams.
The Subah Group has expanded its business from Accra, Ghana, its current headquarters, to operations all over the globe, including offices in Sierra Leone, New York City and Dubai.
