‘Wonder Woman’ star Gal Gadot is set to produce and star in a feature film adaptation of Catriona Silvey’s debut novel ‘Meet Me in Another Life’, which debuted very recently. The story reportedly is about a man and a woman who keep meeting each other in various different versions of reality.
As per reports, the sci-fi romance revolves around, two characters, Thora and Santi, strangers who meet up coincidentally in a different city. However, a tragedy makes its way through their paths but they still continue to end up in each other’s paths through time and space becoming friends, colleagues, lovers, and enemies all along the way, as they try to find an answer as to why fate keeps bringing them together so often under such different situations. Atlas Entertainment and Gal Gadot and Jaron Varsano’s production label Pilot Wave have received the rights to Silvey’s debut novel, released on April 27.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to partner with Chuck Roven and Richard Suckle to bring this story to life with many layers on the big silver screen.”Gadot has some biggies already lined up for her including Netflix’s “Red Notice” opposite Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds and “Heart of Stone” as well as the long-delayed “Death on the Nile”. She is also in talks with her “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins on a new version of the Cleopatra story with another movie in the superhero franchise.
“Catriona’s spectacular novel is maddening, unique, and wildly cinematic, it seamlessly combines almost three different genres, a timeless love story, thriller, and sci-fi tale. We’re extremely excited to bring this story to screen especially with Gal and Jaron,” Suckle and Roven said.
“Catriona’s characters are beautifully explored and have a complexity – their reincarnations sometimes bordering on taboo – that the payoff of their self-discovery feels genuine and earned,” Gadot and Varsano said in a statement.
