The Prestige: Christopher Nolan has a unique way of telling his stories, playing with the narrative, even turning it upside-down sometimes. The Prestige will almost fool you with its final twist, the jaw-dropping climax is totally unpredictable. Set in Edwardian London, two magicians who initially work with each other, eventually turn into rivals and a series of events follow building up the final twist.
Arrival: The movie opens with the appearance of 12 gigantic spaceships in far-flung locations. The protagonist Louis (Amy Adams) leaves her life behind, which consists of memories of her daughter embarking upon a journey to communicate with the aliens, and eventually connecting with her daughter.
Kahaani: Kahaani is one of those films that will give it a blow when the climax punches in. Vidya Bagchi, a pregnant woman, travels to Kolkata from London in search of her missing husband.
Shutter Island: Shutter Island is an anagram for ‘truths and lies’ that gives us clues for most of the story. Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, two US marshals, are sent to an asylum on a remote island in order to investigate the disappearance of a patient, where Teddy uncovers a shocking truth about the place.
The Usual Suspects: The film will keep you guessing till the end as to who is Keyser Soze. Five criminals are called for a routine police line-up. Upon their release, they plan to pull off a dangerous and risky heist involving precious emeralds worth three million dollars.
