In search of the next generation stars of music, Kaushik Events organized a special musical evening Agamir Tarara on March 19, 2021, Abanindranath Art Gallery (ICCR). The aim was to inspire the new generation singers to be by their side in their journey. Many eminent artists graced the evening with their august presence to bring the new generation of the music world to the fore, having their children, students too.
Rupankar Bagchi’s daughter Mohul, Manomay Bhattacharya’s son Akash, Raghab Chatterjee’s daughters Anandi-Ahiri, Pratik Chowdhury’s son Deepraj, Kharaj Mukherjee’s son Bihu Mukherjee, Sidhu’s nephew Baidurya, Dipannita Acharya’s son Tojo, Lopamudra Mitra, Riddhi Bandopadhyay’s students were also among the performers.
Ahiri-Anandi mesmerized the audience with a few originals of their own like Parampara, Amar Na Gawa Gaan, Aaj Eka, Mohul sang Bob Dylan’s cult song Blowing in the wind accompanied by papa Rupankar on the guitar, Akash sang his original Bhoboghure Mon a peppy song, besides all Shouvik Mukherjee’s sitar, Debayan Majumdar’s Esraj, Shubham Kanjilal’s mandolin playing are worth a mention. Kaushik Ghosh, the organizer, said, “This event was a pledge to stand by the newcomers. Newcomers are the future, so their songs need to reach everyone. So they must be encouraged to do better.”
