The 6th edition of “Behala Classical Festival” organized by Behala Sanskritik Sammelani in association with Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers would be held from 6th to 9th January 2018 at the Behala Blind School Ground, Kolkata from 6pm to 9.30 pm. The festival that pays tribute to the maestro Pt. Ravi Shankar would witness performances by luminaries of India classical music.
A four day long festival would showcase the participation of Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Flautist exponent Hariprasad Chaurasia, Violinist N. Rajam, Indian Vocalists Venkatesh Kumar, Jayanthi Kumaresh, Bombay Jayasri, Renowned Sitar Player Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, Classical singer Dr. Debashree Bhattacharya.
The doyen of Indian Sarod maestro Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta would be felicitated on 6th January at the inaugural ceremony. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan will be bestowed with ‘Shyam Sundar Sarvottam Samman’ on 9th January at the closing ceremony of Behala Classical Festival.
