The MG Hector was launched in India in June 2019 and roughly 18 months later it gets a new face-lift. The Hector has already become a popular SUV, due to its unique design and spacious interiors. But the new hector comes with two models one being the updated MG Hector while the other being the MG Hector Plus a seven-seater variant. The seven-seater is a new entry, while the looks of both the variants are absolutely similar.
The updates include a new design that features chrome integrated grille, giving the vehicle a more mature look. Even the alloy wheels are bigger by an inch, now 18inches, and the taillights that were previously connected with red trim is replaced with a new black one. The prominent features being the availability of a dual-tone paint scheme and dual-tone interiors.
The power-plant for the hector gets two options a 2.0L Diesel churning 170Ps while the 1.5L Turbo Petrol produces 143Ps but also gets a 48V mild-hybrid system. Both engines get a 6speed Manual Transmission, while the Petrol also has an option of Dual Clutch Transmission.
For safety, the Hector comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control. The car also has Android Auto and Apple Car Play, wireless charging, Ventilated front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror (IRVM).
