Kolkata, 1st September, 2018: Mrs. India Universe, a Beauty Pageant to showcase Beauty, Glamour, Talent and Culture of Indian Married Woman announced its grand opening for the first time in Eastern India which was followed by the Kolkata leg of the audition at South City Club Banquet today in the esteemed presence of the jury panel Richa Sharma, Mrs. India International; Archana Tomer and Tushar Dhaliwal, Directors, Mrs. India Universe; Indroneel Mukherjee, Paromita Ghosh and Lopamudra Mondal along with other guests. Ms. Anita Dutta Gupta, Director (Eastern India), Mrs. India Universe was also there to address the media.
Mrs. India Universe is a platform for all the women divorced, widowed, married with or without children to break the shackles of monotonous life to find feat in the world of fashion and entertainment and to become confident individuals. It helps them to showcase their feminine warmth & reemphasize their relevance in the society.
At the Kolkata auditions, Mrs. India Universe contestants were those challengers who are successful Indian women and those who endeavor to be agile, exquisite, charismatic and respectable in the representation of India at home and around the globe. During their journey at Mrs. India Universe, they would be groomed and pampered with beauty, fitness, choreography & styling. The participants will be grouped into ages of 20-35 and 35-50 to project their personal best and to make real change in her community. The enigmatic beauty pageant saw a participation of more than fifty participants from all over the West Bengal and Chhattisgarh. Auditions of Mrs. India Universe has also been held in other cities across the country like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Delhi ,Indore, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patiala & Lucknow.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Anita Dutta Gupta, Director (Eastern India), Mrs. India Universe said, “Mrs. India Universe is a platform for all the women divorced, widowed, married with or without children who is managing all the fronts exceedingly well with elan as well as taking care of herself. Mrs. India Universe 2018 aims to acknowledge and award the fashionista who knows her trends but prefers to give them her own individual twist. She is the woman who has got it all – Style, Wisdom, Passion & Intelligence”.
Richa Sharma, Miss India International and one of the judges further added, “Mrs. India Universe is considered to be the most coveted beauty pageant and I feel very proud to be a part of it. We look forward to make this a memorable journey”.
At the Kolkata Auditons of Mrs. India Universe, 52 contestants participated out of which total 16 participants has been selected for the national level. The Final Auditions of Mrs. India Universe will take place on 26th October 2018 in Pune.
