To mark the occasion of Organ Donation Day, Fortis Hospital and Kidney Institute (FHKI) took the initiative to create awareness on the noble cause of Organ Donation through a ‘Nukkad Natak’ performance in front of the hospital gate. The performance was done by a group of 25 students from Techno India College.
As a part of the ‘More to Give’ Organ Donation campaign of Fortis, the hospital continues its endevour to create awareness about organ donation in the society. The activity kicked off with an introductory speech by Mr. Gurvinder Singh, the Facility Director of FHKI on how important it is to donate organs post brain stem death. This was followed by the street play performance by the students from Techno India College. The motive of the play was to create awareness on the initiative along with encouraging the general public to pledge their organs.
The event saw tremendous response from the passersby and a total of 80 pledges were registered at the event. This included an 85 year old enthusiastic gentleman and a family of father, mother and son. Apart from these, around 15 students from the Techno India College also pledged their organs at this event.
