Kolkata,4th August 2018: Kolkata Gives Foundation, a credible NGO, known for pioneering innovative & relatable content, today concluded the most unique and special Football League at The Calcutta Punjab Club (Lawn Tennis Courts) . This Football League was played between destitute girls children of several Ngo of the city and girls student of Private Schools.
The Football League started its journey on 8th July 2018 where several NGOs participated like CSP, Samarithan,Future Hope,Nayantara,Uthnau Mallarpu, Help Us Help Them, Parivaar,Piyali,Tiljala &,SFC. On the other hand Private Schools like La Martiniere for Girls, The Newtown School, Indus Valley World School, South City & Modern High participated.
The Honorable Chief Guest for the League was Mr. Pradeep Chatterjee, Retired Vice Admiral of the Indian Navy along with the trustees of Kolkata Gives Foundation- Mr. Mudar Patherya, Mr. Pawan Agarwal, Mr. Saurav Dugar, Mr. Anant Nevatia, Mr. Shyam Sunder Agarwal, Ms. Mukti Gupta, Mr. Mudit Bagla, Mr. Somnath Sengupta.
Present on the occasion, Mr. Mudit Bagla, one of the trustees of Kolkata Gives Foundation said “I feel so proud to be a part of such initiative. This Football League is a day to remember reminding everyone that sports unites and heals everyone. We look forward to build such wonderful memories and spread smile across our patrons”.
The Finals was between two NGO Clubs-Parivaar Club from District 24 Parganas (South),West Bengal and Shanti Aichmullick Football Coaching Centre (SFC),based out of Rabindra Sarobar. Parivaar Club won exceptionally scoring 2-0.
