On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness month Suraksha Diagnostic in Kolkata conducted a breast cancer awareness seminar at their Elgin road Centre for Women from different walks of life.
The seminar witnessed the presence of Dr. Sharadwat Mukherjee Oncologist, Suraksha Diagnostic, Dr.Smita Gutgutiya famous Gynecologist, Dr. Somnath Chatterjee Director, Suraksha Diagnostic and Mrs.Ritu Mittal, CEO Suraksha Diagnostics .
One of the highlights of the program was the introduction of India’s first portable breast cancer detection scanning equipment IBreastExam. This scanning is a hand- held, non invasive, and painless breast health test that offers standardized breast examination accurately and which easily determines breast lesions early, at the point of care.
Dr. Smita Gutgutia, Gynaecologist said,”One out of every 25 women is being diagnosed with Breast Cancer today, and almost 48% of them are below 45 years! We are finding increasing incidence of Breast Cancer among younger women”
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Ritu Mittal Chief Executive Officer, Suraksha Diagnostic said, “Our aim is to make awareness about life threatening diseases like cancer- diabetes and obesity among society. The major reason of breast cancer is lack of awareness keeping that on mind we have conducted this seminar.”
