Aroni Takhon: Bengali Film Premieres in Kolkata

June 9, 2017 Kolkata: Directed by Sourav Chakraborty, ‘Aroni Takhon’ starring Paoli Dam, Prateik Babbar, Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Tanusree Shankar, Indraneil Sengupta and Badsha Moitra was premiered at Priya Cinema in south Kolkata on Friday, 9th June.

The film is a matured love story revolving around three characters whose relationships are adversely affected by the two horrific true events of the demolition of the Babri Masjid on 6th December 1992 and the Godhra train burn incident on 28th February 2002.

Based on the Bengali novel ‘Kaamor’, the movie is a lyrical journey of a woman who longs for her love amidst mental turmoils and disturbed state of the society.

Music of the film has been directed by Raja Narayan Deb. Anupam Roy has contributed as a guest composer in the film.
