On Wednesday 26th August, Lopamudra Mitra launched her boutique – PROTHA in the presence of Alokananda Ray, Bratati Bandhopadhyay, Agnimitra Paul, Indrani Sen, Srabani Sen, Dr. Rima Mukherjee, Aniruddha Chakladar and Joy Sarkar.

The boutique is housed at ‘Choruibhati’ at 150/2 Lake Gardens, Kolkata. PROTHA boasts of an avid collection of Kanchipuram Silk, Gadwal,Pochampally Silk and Cotton, Bagru / Dabu print on different fabric, south cotton, tant from Fulia and kantha sarees. The boutique also has a great collection of jewellery.
All the products at PROTHA are collected directly from weavers, and each piece is hand picked by Lopamudra Mitra so only one of its kind is available. Apart from Assam and Kashmir, PROTHA has products from every State in India.
