Staring at screens for too long without taking a break can cause difficulty concentrating, headaches, eye pain, blurred vision, dry eyes, and itchy eyes, according to experts. However, you still spend more time looking at a digital screen than you know. The amount of time is increasing as more people work from home.
Kids who spent over two hours every day on screen-time activities performed worse on language and thinking tests, and some children who spent more than eight hours a day on screen time will have their cortex, the part of the brain responsible for logical thinking and reasoning, thinning.
Humans weren’t built in a way to spend their days staring at bright screens. Our brain and body are suffering as a result of our eyes. Other than eye pressure, blurred vision, headaches, etc back pain, neck stiffness, and jaw tightness, are also among the symptom that our body has to go through.
Eyestrain is a condition in which the tiny muscles in and around our eyes become fatigued, causing pain in those who suffer from it. There’s a theory that blue light from smartphones (or other screens) will harm your vision, possibly even blindness. Blue light from screens has also earned a poor reputation for disrupting sleep. When we stare at something for a long time, we also blink less, so if your eyes feel dry from staring at a computer all day, get yourself some eye drops.
Giving your eyes a number of items to concentrate on prevents eyestrain by breaking up the pattern. If at all possible, vary your media consumption by picking up a paper book, magazine, or newspaper for leisure reading.
