A Chipotle is a kind of seasoning made of smoked and dried Jalapeno chili pepper. The type of chili used in the seasoning most likely came across Christopher Columbus on his trip to the New World, and he brought back some of it to Spain, where it later spread to Europe than India and other places.
One of the most important and popularised ingredients of Mexican cuisine is Jalapeno peppers. Jalapeños are normally seen in green for most of the season but in autumn, which is the end of the growing season, they naturally ripen and turn bright red. In Mexico and the United States, there is a growing market for ripe red jalapeños. They are kept on the bush as long as possible. When they are deep red and have lost much of their moisture, they are picked to be made into chipotles.
Steve Ells opened his small burrito shop in Denver, Colorado in 1993, where he invented Chipotle Mexican Grill in July 1993. They specialized in Tacos and Mission Burritos that used to be made in front of the customers. Chipotles are purchased in numerous forms: chipotle powder, chipotle flakes, chipotle pods, and canned chipotles in adobo sauce, concentrated chipotle base, and wet chipotle meat marinade
Chipotle is a comparatively healthier fast-food option due to the fresh ingredients they offer. The ingredients they provide are usually a variety of fresh meat, veggies, and different types of greens making the meal packed with nutrition. One of the most popular Chipotle meals is the burrito, which can be customized as per everyone’s needs. Chipotles, often a key ingredient in a recipe, impart a relatively mild but earthy spiciness to many dishes in Mexican cuisine.
