Stomach Vacuum is one fitness trick that you’ve probably heard of, it has been buzzing around the fitness world for quite a few years. The name itself might spark some interests, but you might too, after perfecting this exercise! It’s a simple abdominal move that assures flattened abs and an overall slimmer look.
What exactly is a Stomach Vacuum?
This exercise is performed to strengthen the core as it works the transverse abdominis. Thus, the muscle build-up improves overall posture. In addition, with frequent practice, the newly added strength alleviates the contraction and relaxation of pelvic muscles, giving you more abdominal strength and a smaller waistline.
How to Do Stomach Vacuum?
To perform a stomach vacuum, stand upright with your hands resting on a table and place your hands on your hips. Make sure your back stays curved.
Now exhale all the air out of your lungs and squeeze your diaphragm.
Suck in your stomach and hold. Do not let in any air as you should use your diaphragm to suck in your stomach tightly.
Release. Repeat the exercise.
Start with two to three times a week and as you master this exercise try to hold for 20 seconds or longer.
