Sleep Deprivation has been a very active topic since the lockdown. Adequate sleeping is not embraced as a necessity nowadays. Having Insomnia is more of a fashion or a “flex” to young adults and teenagers. If you continue to operate without enough sleep, over time, it can lead to premature wrinkling and dark circles under the eyes. Long-term and serious health problems will arise as well.
Some of the most serious problems associated with chronic sleep deprivation are high blood pressure, obesity, depression, lower sex drive, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure, or stroke. Thus, it is important for people to make an effort to get enough sleep. Some of the ways to have better sleep are:-
- Keeping aside Smartphones, Laptops or Tablets
- Wearing appropriate sleepwear
- Having a fixed time to go off to sleep and wake up
- Treat 7-8 hours of sleep as a priority
- Exercise
- Have a healthy cycle of diet
- Read before bedtime
- Try having a warm shower before bedtime
- Sleep apps help a lot these days
- Take help of sleep aids.
- Take medicines only if it is suggested by a physician.
- Do not consume caffeine in the second half of the day.
Having a good sleep schedule has plenty of advantages, It will help you in having:
- Better concentration
- More energy
- Have motivation
- Improve your persistence
- Increase productivity
- Lower depression and anxiety levels
- Lower the probability of gaining too much weight
- Uplift your mood and
- Take care of your heart.
