Summer and dehydration go hand in hand. Aside from water, it’s important to consume foods that are high in water content in a humid environment. Be it snacks between meals or a salad – fresh fruits are always a refreshing and healthy choice.

Summer comes with an abundance of Juicy and hydrating fruits. These fruits are high in nutrients and will provide you with all the necessary nutrients you need to keep going on a sunny, worn-out day.

Pearpear

This summer fruit is a well-known source of fibre. Pears consists of chromium – a mineral, crucial for metabolising carbohydrates, fat and protein. Enriched with fibre and vitamin C, opt for this fruit for a refreshing afternoon snack.

Mangomango

Summer is the peak season for this delicious fruit. Mangoes are rich in nutrients like vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. It also contains some magnesium, manganese, calcium, iron, and phosphorus – essential nutrients we often end up losing due to sweat. Go for a mango smoothie or a have one itself as mangoes are packed with vitamins A and C, and a healthy dose of beta-carotene, which may help prevent cancer and promote healthy skin.

Grapes are packed with nutrients like carbohydrates, sugar, soluble and insoluble fibre, sodium, vitamins, minerals and more. This late summer delicacy is a juicy treat as well as enriched with folic acid, maintaining the balance of a good immune system.

Lychee is one exotic fruit that is delicate yet tasty, providing overall well-being. Enriched with antioxidants, minerals and vitamin C, they offer a variety of skin, hair and anti-ageing benefits.

This sweet and low-calorie summer snack provides hydration and electrolytes like Potassium as it is 90% water. Rich in antioxidants, watermelons keeps your body cool and prevents the risk of developing heart disease.

Cherrycherry

This sweet, red fruit is loaded with fibres and antioxidants and contains vitamin C and folic acid. Cherries contain anthocyanins, the red pigment in berries and help in reducing inflammation.
