Premature Aging: What You’re Doing Wrong

-

Are you among those people who tend to walk past the Anti-aging aisle without a glance while purchasing skincare products?

If you didn’t already know, Anti-aging products can be used by all ages. According to experts, your skin starts aging by the age of 20, so it’s recommended that you take the path to prevention early. Even though aging is a natural process and should be embraced wholeheartedly, many factors like stress, lifestyle choices, and environment might speed up the process of premature aging.

How to detect signs of Aging

  • Visible signs of fine lines and wrinkles on the skin.
  • Skin becoming sensitive or prone to rashes.
  • Rough or dry, flaky skin.

The aging of your skin can start from an early age as it’s mostly determined by external elements rather than just age and internal factors, so adding anti-aging products to your skincare regimen is a must.

The Benefits of anti-aging skincare vary in a wide aspect.

  • Products containing retinol, retinyl esters help improve fine lines and skin elasticity. Vitamin A components present in an anti-aging cream can promote the accumulation of collagen, thus giving skin its elasticity and firmness back.
  • Opt for ingredients like Hyaluronic acid as it works wonders when it comes to hydrating your skin.
  • Anti-aging products containing antioxidants like Vitamin C and E protect skin from free radicals and prevents the onset of wrinkles and brown spots.
  • Don’t forget glycolic acid. This exfoliant gets rid of dead skin and improves skin texture, especially hyperpigmentation.

Some additional tips:

  1. Never overlook sunscreen as the sun affects your aging process in a greater way than you think! Choose a sunscreen of SPF 50 or more and moisturize frequently,
  2. Follow a proper skincare routine even if it feels overwhelming at the beginning. Cleanse, exfoliate, tone, use the serum, and finally lock all the goodness in with a good cream and retinoids.
  3. Last but not the least, watch what you eat, avoid high sugary food and white carbohydrates as it makes you age faster by breaking down glucose, drink less alcohol, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
