India’s favorite SUV category is all set to get a new member

-

The most popular category of SUV’s in India is Sub-4m SUV, as this category offers medium sized SUV’s. The medium sized SUV is much more practical and little less expensive, but some of them offer premium features too, which makes the vehicles tend to appeal to more people. While some even chose to buy compact SUV only because it is more suitable for narrow Indian roads.

Renault is now an well established brand in the country and their Duster is the most popular compact SUV since it entered the market. Earlier there was no such vehicle to bridge the gap between Duster and Triber. The company is now all set to unveil the new “Renault Kiger”. The new vehicle will have be having new features, while the grille has the resemblance to Triber, and head lights resembles to kwid. The Renault Kiger will be unveiled on January 28, 2021, and the launch will be taking place during the month of March 2021 . One thing we can say, that it might bridge the gap between Kwid and Triber with the aggressive pricing. Kiger will also get new sets of alloys, with new tail lights. While the price is expected to be similar to that of Nissan’s Magnite. The launch will confirm that latter.

Who is not a Rival?

Well it can be asked that who is not a rival? Because almost every auto manufacturer operating in India has a Sub-4m SUV of their own. So the real challenge for Renault will be the price and the extra premium features, to stand out in the market. The biggest rivals will be the Indian auto brands Tata, Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra. As these companies take the advantage of local knowledge and competitive pricing for their products. They also provide a low cost maintenance and service for the cars of the same category, than their rivals.
