Ed Sheeran gifts his fans a great Christmas gift in the form of his new single ‘Afterglow’. The acoustic track which is quite visually aesthetic shows Ed playing his guitar on an open land and singing in his warm peaceful voice.
2020 has forced the music industry to go digital with lots of concerts and award shows taking place online. The only thing missing was definitely Ed and his songs as he opted for a year long break back in 2019 December.
In the new track he sings “We were love-drunk, waiting on a miracle / Tryna find ourselves in the winter snow / So alone in love like the world had disappeared / Oh, I won’t be silent and I won’t let go / I will hold on tighter ‘til the afterglow,” accompanied by his acoustic guitar.
“Hey guys. Afterglow is a song I wrote last year that I wanted to release for you. It’s not the first single from the next album, it’s just a song I love, and hope you love too. Enjoy ! Have a safe and happy festive break and New Year’s. Back to Dad land for me now, ciao x”, Sheeran wrote on social media.
Not only were his fans delighted with this new gift but also other artist’s couldn’t stop themselves from pouring their heart out on social media over Ed’s new single!
