The music and poster launch of an upcoming Bengali film called ‘Tuski’ was held at Cambridge Banquet in Kolkata. The film is divided between rich and poor and focuses on the struggle of a woman who lives in the slum area and want her daughter to get the proper education from a good school in Kolkata but they faces lots of problem and rejection from the schools because of persisting inequality and marginalization. The story revolves around the fight of the mother and the daughter for the right to education.
The launch of the music and poster of the film witnessed the presence of the Director Aniket Chattopadhyay who has done films like Kabir, Bye Bye Bangkok, Goraay Gondogol and many more along with the Producer Pradip Churiwal and the cast comprising of Kharaj Mukherjee, Anamika Saha, Kanchana Moitra, Rana Chakraborty and child actor Priyanka Dutta playing the role of Tuski in the film.
The one song in the film have been sung by Lopamudra Mitra who is known as a prominent singer of Rabindra Sangeet. Later the director unveils the poster of the film featuring all the cast members in their characters showing the difference between the rich and the poor through the costume and looks of the characters. A major part of the film is shot in South Kolkata slum area and the director Aniket Chattopadhyay chooses real slum children to act in his film. ‘Tuski’ the film uplift a serious content of our society and yet promise to entertain and educate the audience. The film will hit theatres on 24th August.
