Kolkata: In a path breaking move Kirti Solar has installed its Solar PV Power Plant on the roof top of Ayudh Bhavan on 21st December 2017, which is the first initiative taken by Ordnance Factory Board, in a move to use non-conventional energy to save green house gas emission.
The 100 KWpGrid Connected Rooftop Solar PV Power Plant was installed by Kirti Solar Limited which is amongst the largest, most experienced and reputed Solar EPC Companies in India. Kirti Solar Limited is a Govt of India recognized Channel Partner with more than 10 years of experience in renewable energy.
Talking about the project, Mr Dhiraj Bhagchandka, Managing Director, Kirti Solar Limited, said: “After bagging the Project, KSL technical & mechanical team conducted detailed site survey and assessed the roof top of Ayudh Bhawan for precise utilization of the area. The total area covered was 1062 sq. meter. Our technical team had to design the power plant as per the site availability keeping in mind the maximum generation output. We undertook a detailed structural assessment including the load bearing capacity, wind conditions and then designed the mounting systems. We also used various modeling software to assess the energy generation from the plant.
Salient features of the projects :
- Size of the Solar PV Power Plant: 100 KWp (DC)
- Generation: 1,30,000 Units Annually (Approx.)
- Savings: Rs.10,00,000/- Annually (Approx.)
- Net Metering : Surplus energy from the plant can be exported to CESC which can be adjusted against their subsequent energy bill.
