August 4 is the 92nd birth anniversary of legendary artist Kishore Kumar. Actor, singer, director, producer, lyricist, composer, he is a teenager forever in various roles. Amit was only thirteen years old when he recorded the song ‘Main Ek Panchhi Matwala Re’ for Door Ka Rahi under his father’s baton.

The cover versions series is highly successful. Amit said, “On the occasion of my father’s birthday, I did an unplugged cover version of the popular Hindi song ‘Hame Aur Jine Ki Chahat Na Hoti, Agar Tum Na Hote’. Baba won the Filmfare Award for this song. The composer of the song was Rahul Dev Burman. The lyricist was Gulshan Bawra. Many request me my father’s songs. So I did this song. Also this month, two mashup cover versions of my father’s songs will be released. Everything is done with this special month in mind. Then I will concentrate on my own songs again. “
The song was released on Amit Kumar’s official YouTube channel and Facebook page on August 4.
Earlier, Amit paid homage to his father in a special music video titled ‘Baba Mere’. He paid homage to his father along with his daughter Muktika. The viewership of the song has crossed one million on YouTube organically.
