Friends’ cast has reunited for a ‘reunion special’, after seventeen years from when the last episode was aired, to chat and reminisce about their time on the ’90s hit sitcom. The Friends reunion special has yet to receive an official premiere date from HBO Max.
The special was originally scheduled to film in front of a live audience in March 2020 and premiere on May 27 to coincide with the launch of HBO Max, which will enable viewers to stream all of the episodes. Deadline reported on April 2, 2021, that filming for the special will begin the following week. It’s actually happening! Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc are all scheduled to film the ‘reunion special at Warner Bros. Studio’s Stage 24 in Burbank, California, on the production’s original set.
The Friends reunion special would be an hour-long unscripted experience in which the cast will revisit the original set and take a trip down memory lane together. During the event, fans should expect to see “rare behind-the-scenes video.” But, the cast will more be shown as themselves, rather than in character. Pictures from the set have already started to leak!
