Golden Globe Awards 2021: Everyone who made it big

-

The 78th Golden Globe awards became a virtual ceremony owing to the pandemic. The award show that had already had a two-month delay finally took place on Sunday (Monday in India) with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as the hosts, who hosted from different locations.  All the nominees from all the categories came together on a zoom call resulting in the first Golden Globes to take place over the internet. Pertaining to a zoom call there was obviously a lot of chaos with actors muting their mics while delivering their award-winning speeches and of course their backgrounds, during their appearances.

The biggest winners of the 78th Golden Globes were “Nomadland”, “Borat”. As for television, “The Schitt’s Creek”, “The Queen’s Gambit” and “The Crown”, made it big, sweeping away maximum awards. Chloe Zhao, who directed “Nomadland,” became the first woman to win the best director award since 1984 when Barbara Streisand won an award for “Yentl.” The late Chadwick Boseman was honored in the ceremony that took place on Sunday.
