The 2021 Tata Safari is here and not only it features a new BS-VI update and a new design, but the car also comes loaded with features. The 2021 Safari is brand new, and the updates are not only for show but are more function-oriented. As the Omega Arc design is derived from the world-renowned D8 platform used by Land Rover, while the advanced monocoque chassis not only provides better safety as well as improved and better handling. As the sturdy yet and the proven design for SUV’s is also specious in nature, thus Tata Motors is also offering a 7 seater variant XZ+ (6/7seater) both in the manual and automatic configuration. While the topmost variant or rather, sporty Safari which is being dubbed as ‘Adventure Persona’ also with the XZ+ version of the Kryotech engine mated with the six-speed manual and automatic and produces 170ps power.
While the new design features a Tri Chrome arrow grille pattern, which is similar to the new updated MG Hector. Both Harrier and Hector shared the same engine, Safari’s engine shares a similar platform. But we are here to talk about the 2021 Tata Safari, and the SUV also offers an enormous panoramic view from the sunroof. While the R18 machined alloy wheels add to the aggressive SUV stance yet adds to the beauty of the vehicle. The iconic roof rails further complement the outgoing side of the car.
The interior is divided into 3 row sitting arrangements which according to Tata are placed intelligently so that they offer a Stadium Seating effect. While the signature Oyster White interiors that play the yin and yang a perfect opposite with the Ash-Wood finish on the dash and doors. The Captain seats on the second row are complemented with boss mode, which further provides maximum travel comfort, as Tata tends to provide living room-like comfort on the 2row of Safari. While the third row is designed ergonomically which is spacious enough for two adults.
The all-disc brake configuration provides better handling so does the Electronic Parking Brake and advanced ESP with 14 functionalities provide a better standard of safety with a wide range of terrain and driving conditions. The Floating Island infotainment system and the car also come equipped with 9 JBL speakers. The infotainment system also comes with iRA a connected car technology pack that provides a wide range of security features and also the Gamification option to the customers.
The 2.0L turbocharged engine is already well known and the new Safari’s 2741mm Wheelbase makes it one of the tallest Indian SUV. The New 2021 Tata Safari comes in 4new color options the signature Royal Blue, Daytona Grey, Orcus White, and the Tropical Mist. The Tropical Mist is exclusively reserved for the Adventure Persona variant of Safari. The XE variant with manual transmission is being offered at a base price of ₹14.69lakh (ex-showroom). While the XM manual is priced at ₹16.00lakh whereas the base variant automatic costs ₹17.25lakh. The XZ+ variant of both 6&7 seaters will cost ₹19.99lakh and ₹21.25lakh for manual and automatic respectively.
The only other manual and automatic options are also offered in the XZ variant at ₹19.15lakh and ₹20.40lakh. The top-most variant of the 2021 Tata Safari is the Adventure Persona that is priced at ₹20.20lakh for the manual and ₹21.45lakh for the automatic variant both use the XZ+ platform. The two other engine variants the XT and XT+ only offer the manual transmission option at ₹17.45lakh and ₹18.25lakh respectively.
