The trailer of ‘The Girl in the Train’ was released on 4th February that is a remake of the Hollywood thriller of the same name. In the trailer, we are introduced to Parineeti Chopra’s Mira Kapoor, a dark and twisted figure who is jealous of another woman whom she sees every day through the train window. Apparently, this woman, Nusrat, played by Aditi Rao Hyadari has everything she doesn’t, which instills a sense of jealousy in her. Nusrat’s murder and Mira’s amnesia weave a what seems to be an interesting edge- the-seat thriller.
Kirti Kulhari plays the investigating officer, with one woman playing the suspect, another a victim, and another the police office, this movie can be something to look forward to.
The movie is based on a 2015 bestselling book by Paula Hawkins of the same name. Directed by TE3N and Bard of Blood director Ribhu Dasgupta, the film also stars Laila Majnu fame Avinash Tiwari. The film will be streaming on Netflix from 26th February.
Sharing the trailer on her Instagram story, Priyanka wrote, “Wow @parineetichopra SO looking forward to this.” She added applause emoticons in her caption as she praised her cousin’s intense act. The trailer was also lauded by netizens as they called it one of the best performances by Parineeti.
