A normal year sees a Super Bowlpacked with ads for the biggest movies. However this year, due to the pandemic things turned out to be different. Even though a lot of last year’s movies have not released due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s game saw the trailer of some upcoming biggies. Here are 5 trailers that one shouldn’t miss out on:
Fast and Furious 9: Amidst the coronavirus pandemic Fast and Furious 9 has found a trailer spot in the Super Bowl, for a second time. The latest installment of the franchise focuses more on the action and the famous faces its features compared to the one last year, which was more revealing. The talking point of the trailer is Helen Mirren cruising laughing it out in her souped-up car, looking complete badass.
Old: M. Night Shyamalan’s latest movie which is an adaption of a graphic novel, ‘Sandcastle’ has a group of people who go on a beach holiday only to find out that they are aging way too fast. Well, we say that we have enough time for anything, what if we don’t? There’s a scene in the trailer where Eliza Scanlen’s character is seen growing from child to a pregnant woman.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: In the trailer of Marvel’s upcoming movie we get an insight into the dynamic between titular Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), who spend most of their times arguing over petty matters in spite of the fact that all they have is each other’s backs.
Clarice: In the TV spin-off to 1991 film, ‘The Silence of The Lambs’. Set one year after the events of the movie, FBI agent Clarice Starling (Rebecca Breeds) goes on a trail of serial killers and predators. “I couldn’t save them then, but I will never stop trying,” she promises in the trailer.
Raya and The Last Dragon: It is the first animated film to be set in Southeast Asia. The movie, tells the story of the journey of Raya (Keli Marie Tran) as she goes on to find the last dragon (Awkwafina) and fend off an evil that has returned to her land of Kumandra after centuries. The film will release in select theaters and available on Premiere Access for Disney+ from March 5, 2021.
