Shreya Ghosal’s new song “Angana Morey” released after lockdown

-

Shreya Ghosal teamed up with her talented brother Soumyadeep Ghoshal who composed and produced this intense yet intricate pop song to the feeling of longing titled “Angana Morey”, which got released yesterday via online mode and Shreya came live on Youtube and Instagram to interact directly with her fans and together with her fans she released her latest single after the post lockdown.

This song is not only sung by the talented singer Shreya Ghosal but also for the first time it is penned down by her which is rooted, earthy, and intense. The song invokes the bittersweet feeling of longing and reunion. Shreya’s lyrics and singing will transport you into a satisfying trance, while Soumyadeep switches up to top gear with his great production, fusing electronic layers with benevolent Budapest Symphony Orchestra, guitar, table, and distinguished flute part that all merges into a dramatic confluence.

This song is Shreya’s contemporary interpretation of the girl longing for her beloved, deeply in love for each other, but away from each other. The electro-pop bandish Raag infusing the Indian Classical, the composition, and the music will take you to another world, visually captured by the choreography and lifelike projections in the video is something which is breathtaking. It is out now, listen to any music app, it is available there. A beautiful creation of the siblings to make your day and ears worth listening to and enchanting.

At Shreya Ghosal’s live session on Instagram, she spoke about how she decided to create this song, do something new and unique with a modern touch. She said the last year-end she was kind of feeling bored and was contemplating about whether she is doing something productive or substantial and she was listening to some bandish when she thought to make something innovative and with his brother whom she never knew could be so wonderful with so much depth, she was totally amazed working with him.

She wrote lyrics thinking of Valentine’s day coming and the pandemic where the lovers got detached, with the feeling of reuniting she wrote and that’s how the song was created.
