To pay homage to Satyajit Ray on his 100 years of birth anniversary, Raajhorshee De is all set to release his new film “Abbar Kanchenjunga”. This is not the sequel of the “Kanchenjunga” directed by Satyajit Ray in 1962, it is totally a different story woven by Raajhorshee showing Bangaliana, family bond, a celebration of life in the backdrop of beautiful Darjeeling.
Interestingly actress Subhashree Ganguly’s sister Deboshree Ganguly will be debuting in this movie. A whole moon market altogether with 17 stars cast for the first time merging both from Bengali television and film industry. The cast comprises Kaushik Sen, Saswata Chatterjee, Tanushree Chakraborty, Anindya Chatterjee, Rahul Arunoyday Banerjee, Bidipta Chakraborty, Arpita Chatterjee, Deboshree Ganguly, and Padmanabha Dasgupta, and Rupankar Bagchi among others.
The poster of the movie recently got released on social media and it had created a lot of buzzes already although the release date is not yet announced. The story is written by Padmanabha Dasgupta and the producers are Shilpi A Pandey and Akshatt K Pandey. Saswata Chatterjee said he just loved the story instantly after hearing it.
A tribute to Satyajit Ray via this film has a lot of expectations among the audience, before release to know the insights and BTS of the film you can follow their official social media handles.
