Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS launched globally and in India

-

The Triumph Speed Tripple 1200RS is launched globally on January 26, only two days later the European streetfighter was launched in India. The Daytona 675 was so successful, that after Triumph decided to discontinue the bike many bikers were devastated. But at the end of 2020, we at least received the news that Triumph will bring back the Daytona, and with a bigger engine. The new Speed Triple gets a 1,160cc heart that churns out 180PS at 10,750rpm  which is up by 30ps from the previous generation. While the new engine manages to produce 125Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. While the new engine is lighter by 7kilos and is all new.

The good things not only end there, but Triumph also has a lot more to offer. As the Speed Triple gets fully adjustable Öhlins for the front and rear, the NIX30 upside-down front forks and TTX36 twin tube mono-shock. It is also to be noted that the Speed Triple 1200 RS is the most powerful triple-cylinder bike available, as it is comparatively more powerful than Triumph Rocket 3. While to leash the beast the bike gets Brembo Stylema radial monobloc that uses two 320mm discs in front and 220mm disc with a twin-piston rear calliper. The Bike also gets stickier Metzeler Racetec RR tyers, for better experience and performance both on track and roads.

The bike also gets a 5inch TFT colour display, and availability of ‘My Triumph’ connectivity as standard, that provides turn by turn navigation from phone and the option to take or reject calls and change songs. The Bike also has a first of its kind keyless ignition and fuel tank. The Speed Triple also gets all-new all-LED headlight with DRLs that gives the bike more aggressive look that suits a streetfighter. It also gets 5 riding modes, while the previous generation had to be stopped and then the modes were switchable, whereas it is now possible on the move.

The bike also gets the bidirectional quickshifter, Traction control, Cornering ABS, Cruise control and Wheelie control. Now the 2021 Speed Triple 1200 RS is offered with two colour options one being Matt Silver Ice with black, silver and yellow graphics and the other being Sapphire Black with red and silver graphics. The Speed Triple 1200RS is priced at 16.95lakhs ex-showroom.
