Shyam Sundar Company Jewellers is all set to host a gala exhibition “Remembering Soumitra Chatterjee” between 18Jan-19Jan at Rabindra Bhawan, Agartala, Tripura. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Shuvashis Talapatra, honorable justice Tripura High Court along with special guests Tapas Mallick, Sudipta Chanda at 5:30pm on 18 Jan.
On 19 January the legend would be remembered through a small cultural endeavour through songs, poetry, shruti natok and so on.
The gala exhibition would showcase his film posters including rare ones like Apur Sansar, Teen Kanya, Jhinder Bandi and booklets like Atal Joler Ahoban, Barnali, Stree and many more.
Beside that it would feature film record covers, autographed documents, interestingly first print paintings by Soumitra Chatterjee himself including his self portrait. The exhibition also would have thirty of original paintings on Soumitra Chatterjee by world wide known painters from India and Bangladesh.
