Launched in early 2019 with MIUI 10 and based on Android Pie, Redmi 7 became one of the best-selling smartphone of its time. It was later updated to MIUI 11 worldwide. Last week Redmi 7 started receiving the long-awaited Android 10 update. Now, this update is also going to be live in India and the roll out has begun.
The build number of the Android 10 update for Redmi 7 in India is V11.0.3.0.QFLINXM. The new software build also bumps up the security level to December 2020.
At the moment the update is in the ‘Stable Beta’ phase. It means it will only be available to selected users. If there’s no major issue with the update, we can surely expect the company to extend the availability of the update to more users.
Android 10 will be the last major update for the Redmi 7. Xiaomi recently canceled MIUI 12 update for this phone along with Redmi Y3, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6A. Thus with the roll out anytime soon the Android 10 update can be available on your phone, if you are a Redmi 7 user.
