After creating ripples with the teaser, filmmaker Saptaswa Basu presents the trailer of his latest dark thriller “Pratidwandi”. It was launched at an event in a south kolkata mall in the presence of the star cast Saswata Chatterjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Saayoni Ghosh, Rini Ghosh and Maahi Kar, Star Media Ventures, Pratyush productions along with Neo Studios unveiled the trailer of “Pratidwandi” with a razzmatazz.
“Pratidwandi” is the second film of Saptaswa Basu, whose first feature film “Network” was critically acclaimed as a debutant director. The music has been scored by Raz Dee and Pratik Kundu, background music by Dabbu.
“Pratidwandi” is all set to pit the two lauded actors against each other – the first time they will be playing against each other as adversaries. In that respect, this film is expected to be a dark thriller which will give us goosebumps through its twist and turns. In the modern world, with challenges mounting for survival, most people are afraid to trust anyone or make friends and tend to consider everyone as an adversary or “Pratidwandi”.
Talking about the trailer launch director Saptaswa Basu said, “We are paying tribute to Satyajit Ray’s Calcutta trilogy, hence matching the quality of work has been quite challenging for us. But after the initial hurdles we are also eager to set foot in the big screen on 1st of January 2021.”
