In an interesting shift from his normal work, renowned percussionist Mr. Abhishek Basu has directed a short film and written the screenplay too – Akaash Ojana Tobu ( Yet Unknown Sky ). The film is slated for release on an entertainment app between second and third week of July, 2020.
Eventually it’s one of the first “Cloud short films” which the director describes to be about his virtual presence wherever shooting is being done. From production stage, the whole film is shot on mobile phone; leading into editing and all associated post production work carried out on mobile phone where director’s virtual presence was seen.
Keeping this unique form in mind in this film the director has guided the actors over a video conference call as the shooting took place at actors’ residence. Already the film has got awards at 3 International Film Festivals and was nominated at 6 International Film Festivals.
Tejas Gandhi the renowned fashion designer is the associate director of the film which revolves around ups and downs of relationship between a married couple Pakhi ( Sanchari Dutta ) and Arjun( Fiaz Khan).
Produced by Ayanjit Sen, Abhishek himself has given music in the film, along with Avik Ganguly. The story has been written by poet Alo Basu while the editing and post production has been done by Subhasish Mondal.
