Yug Sharma, a budding musician from Punjab has released his second track, ‘Ishqe Di Gali’ after his debut with ‘Tinder’ which came out last year.
His latest intimate number stands out among the more energetic and Hip-Hop oriented music scene in Punjab. Among the electronic beats and disco tracks, Yug continues to dish out his authentic soothing songs.
In an exclusive interview with IBTN9, Yug speaks about his latest single, the struggle of independent artists and more.
IBTN9: Tell us about your upcoming song ‘Ishqe Di Gali’
Yug: This is a soothing track filled with love, romance with plenty of positive vibes that is sure to make anybody’s day.
IBTN9: What were the challenges that you had to face whilst making this song?
Yug: There were many challenges. Nowadays Punjabi music is mostly about Hip Hop beats and loud music, so it was a bit difficult for me to market the calm tracks as this is a very soft and soothing track and it was a big challenge to promote this song. Moreover this is an independent work and there is not much respect for independent musicians in our country. But I have got a good response from this song with over 75000 views on Youtube in the first week.

IBTN9: This is a song that has love and romance at its core. Is it inspired from your personal life?
Yug: Not quite. Although it is a work of fiction and a product of my imagination, I was intrigued with the concept of love and tried to create something beautiful and magical to the best of my abilities.
