Kolkata, 30th April 2019: ‘My Obey Cabs’, a unique cab service for smart phone and non smart phone users was launched today in the city. Mr. Vikash Gupta, CEO, My Obey Cabs Private Limited (Obey) and Mr. Kaushik Basu, Regional Head, My Obey Cabs Private Limited (Obey) along with Mr. Sanjay Kc Singh CTO, Mr. Rinku Khanna Operation Manager and Mr. Goldi Singh Sr. Auditor were also present on the occasion.
Obey started its journey in the year 2013 in Lucknow and Gurgaon. Obey is an online transportation network company. It operates as an online cab aggregator, providing a mobile application for booking a cab. The service can also be availed through non smart phones as well via phone, sms and missed call alert system which will be launching soon. The service will start in Kolkata from 7th of May 2019.
With the increase in demand for cab services for daily commute and keeping in mind the rising rates, the price range has been kept at an affordable range. The service will currently be available in Kolkata and will spread across the suburbs as well. The service will start with a fleet of 10,000 cars in the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vikash Gupta, CEO, My Obey Cabs Private Limited (Obey), added, “We are very happy to launch ‘My Obey Cabs’ in the city of the joy. On demand cab service has become a necessity in today’s day and age. We hope we can match up to the expectations of the people of the city and they enjoy our services.”
They will be expanding their services to other parts of the country like Bhubaneswar, North Eastern cities and internationally in Dhaka and Yangon as well. The company brings together cab drivers and customers and fosters entrepreneurship at the driver level. The company will also provide cashless medical insurance to its drivers.
