Gramaphone Association Bangla takes the initiative to change the trend in Music

Kolkata,7th August 2018: West Bengal is a plays where great poet, musicians ,song writers were born and brought up. In the present scenario people are more fascinated to bollywood songs. Gramophone Association Bangla(GAB) takes an initiative step towards Bengali music.

Gramophone Association Bangla(GAB) a forum to anticipate and recognized the changing trend of music. It has launched today at Kolkata in presents of artists like-Thr Great Padmshree Ms. Usha Uthup, Haimanti shukla, Bikram Ghosh, Srikanto Acharya, Lopamudra Mitra, Tanmoy Bose, Raghab Chatterjee, Srijato, Joy sarkar, Sraboni Sen, Jayati Chakraborty, Sreeradha Banerjee, Upal Sengupta, Surojit Chaterjee, Gabu Chaterjee, Ratul Shankar and others.

Music like Classic ,Folk, Nazrul Geeti, Gana Sangeet, Jibon Mukhi(Adhunik), Rock and Band Music are the most dominant music in this era. On the other hand “non-film” music is losing its wave and existence under the domination of film music. We need to admit that time has change with the music and musicians, people are finding more interest in latest instrument that are use create tunes. Broadcast target and TRP are also the additional factor of recent time.

In such scenario there is a need of a forum to anticipate and recognized the changing trend of music and update the fraternity through knowledge, interaction, exchange and recognition. The purpose of the forum Gramophone Association Bangla is to promote the bangle as the language, Bengali cultural music for the benefit of the people and society. It will also create a network of likeminded governmental or non governmental agencies/organizations/trusts/societies, etc .Working in close collaboration with the industry in development of Bangla Music, this forum will work and research  with advancement techniques. We really hope that we can be the witness of the successful changing trend of music called Gramophone Association Bangla.
