Kolkata, January 09, 2018 – Music of upcoming Bengali film ‘Kaya’ was launched today at the Sonnet, Kolkata in presence of lead actress Raima Sen & other cast and crew. Directed by Rajib Chowdhury and produced by Om Prakash Saraogi, the film revolves around a character Ranjan Mitra, a filmmaker who ends up in a mysterious locale for shooting his cine venture along with his crew.
Ranjan’s crew members start vanishing in Christie-que situations following appearance of a mysterious beautiful woman near the location of their shoot. Amidst a dramatic turn of events Ranjan’s past and present clash resulting in a thrilling and spine chilling climax.
The story is a realistic take on sexual exploitation of women at workplace. ‘Kaya’ is a thriller built around a person’s exploitation of others and how justice eludes those who are exploited.
The film stars Raima Sen, Kaushik Sen, Priyanka Sarkar, Shantilal Mukherjee, Sayani Datta, Pallavi Chatterjee, Rana Mitra, Poulami Das, Parthasarathi, Pawan Kanodia, Nimai Ghosh and others. ‘Kaya’ is Rajib Chowdhury’s second feature film as a director.
