January 18, 2018, Kolkata: Businessman and Bengali film producer Pradip Churiwal along with filmmaker Riingo Banerjee and actor Rana Mitra inaugurated Kolkata’s first modern colon hydrotherapy centre – Aero Wellness Centre.
An ancient concept of cleaning the intestines, perfected by technologies developed in America, Aero Wellness Centre brings to the city of joy, the modern-day technique of cleansing the internal system of the body by using water as the only element.

As briefed by Rishav Agarwal, owner of the undertaking, the process is painless and involves water running through the rectum to clean the intestines within a period of 45 minutes. The therapy results in a better digestive system, relief from gas problems, bloating, skin problems arising due to colon waste and helps in getting rid of constipation without use of any kind of medication or chemicals.
Aero Wellness Centre is located at Chakraberia, near AAEI petrol pump and booking of sessions can also be availed online from the official website aerocolon.com. The therapy is strictly non-medical and a session costs 3900 rupees per person. According to Mr. Agarwal, a person can choose to receive the therapy thrice a month and would not need another session in six months, under normal circumstances.
