Amazon Obhijaan premieres on theatres on 22nd December

-

Kolkata: A star studded closed door special screening of Amazon Obhijaan  was organized in a theatre in Kolkata recently.

Amazon Obhijaan, directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and produced by Sree Venkatesh Films is claimed to be the biggest Bengali film ever made with a budget of  Rs. 25 crore. It casts Dev as Shankar or the first lead. There has been talks that this film is the sequel to director Mukherjee’s previous venture, Chander Pahar  to which he clarified, “It is absolutely not the sequel of Chander Pahar. The script and the screenplay are written by me and in no way related to Chander Pahar. The only reference to the novel by Bibhutibhushon Bandopadhay is the character of Shankar.”

Eminent actors and faces from the film industry enlightened the house with their charm. IBTN9 spotted veteran actors like Chiranjeet and Aparna Sen amongst actors like Swastika Mukherjee in the house.

The music has been composed by Debojyoti Misra who has done a brilliant job with his experience and expertise.

However, some agressive fans showed up at the gate of the theatre and tried creating a massacre but failed due to the excellent management of the authorities. The reason for such behaviour is still unknown.

“This film is the result of all the hard work put in by the entire unit for the past 2 and a half years and I believe the audience will enjoy it,” added Dev.

We wish Amazon Obhijaan all the best and a huge success at the box office.
