Kolkata: The city of joy witnessed a special star studded screening of the new Bengali film Chol Kuntal at a theatre in Kolkata recently.
Directed by Raj Mukherjee, Chol Kuntal is a film about social alienation and corruption that the society is suffering from and how three oldies Kuntal; played by Soumitra Chatterjee and his two friends played by Manoj Mitra and Samir Biswas respectively stand up against it. The film also features Pratik, Debolina Kumar, Dolon Roy, Dipankar De.
Chol Kuntal is a joint production of Artage Productions and Incoda movies and has released across theatres all over.
The film has one song in total, written and composed by Anupam Roy.
“I look forward to leaving a mark on the society through my film which speaks of the corruption around us. Each and every team member has worked hard for this film and I would like everyone to watch it at least once,” said director Raj Mukherjee.
“The film stars legends like Soumitra Chatterjee, Manoj Mitra, Dolon Roy and Dipankar De who have given out stellar performances which has helped us achieve our ambition effortlessly,” added the director.
The film has released across theatres on 24th November and IBTN9 extends best wishes to this socially uprising film.
