HMD Global – the Finnish company that develops and markets smartphones under the Nokia brand name just launched the cheapest and the most affordable smartphone – Nokia 2.
Nokia 2 includes a 4100mAh battery that offers up to 2 days of battery life. Powered by the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1GB of RAM, Nokia 2 is all set to compete against Xiomi Redmi 4A and Moto C. The phone comes with a 5-inch LTPS HD display. The inbuilt storage is 8GB and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The Nokia 2 cameras are equipped with 5 megapixel and 8 megapixel sensors on the front and back respectively.
The company’s focus shall be on the customer satisfaction, said HMD Global CEO Florian Sieche. He also mentioned India to be among the top markets for Nokia in terms of sales. The price of Nokia 2 is yet to be disclosed by the company. The smartphone shall be available at around 1,00,000 offline stores in India apart from online marketplaces.
