Jackson Records Digital Entertainment LLP launched a new collaborative cultural initiative Eastern Artists Alliance on September 21, 2015. Focussing on digitalization, Eastern Artists Alliance aims at debunking the previously set boundaries of Bengal’s audio art scene like audio/ radio drama, recitation and music, taking it to a global audience digitally. Managing Partner of Jackson Records Digital Entertainment LLP, Utsav Bhanja & the creator of the concept says, “For our industry to grow, it is first essential to make the artists discoverable on a global level and as we do it for other commercial projects like films or albums, it is time for the independent Bengali audio art forms to reach the people who love it & wish to have more of it, around the world.”
Former Director of Drama Division, All India Radio, Dr. Dipak Chandra Poddar and Director of Carpe Diem Communique, Arindam Basu were also present to inaugurate the new publishing label and support the event. The evening was set forth with the magical voice of Srijan Chattopadhyay, an internationally acclaimed Classical vocalist, followed by introductory performances by the artists of the Eastern Artists Alliance.
Under the new label of Eastern Artists Alliance, Jackson Records shall conduct live shows in and around the city. The agenda also includes a digital series of video talk-shows, interviews & workshops. With national & worldwide distribution, the audio & visual artistic contents shall reach people through telecom services in India & Abroad, DTH & IPTV services, Web streaming, Mobile Apps, Internet Radio & Web TV broadcast services. Jackson Records, known for its international collaborative projects, sets a new milestone by pioneering an initiative like this, which has never been thought of before. Eastern Artists Alliance shall open a whole new dimension of opportunities for regional artists and performers from districts who didn’t have access to high level commercial platforms, giving them a global identity.
