Kolkata International Film Festival gets bigger this year

In 2017, The United Kingdom (U.K) is the focus country & 143 films under 16 categories will be screened, out of which 93 are Foreign Language Films and 50 Indian Language

The City of Joy, Kolkata has been buzzing with activity since the annual Kolkata International Film Festival is all set to commence on 10th of November and wraps up on 17th November, 2017.

The festival embraces independent films from across the World, Regional Cinema and Documentaries. Complete with interactive workshops by industry professionals, KIFF is all set to rule the roost.

Honourable Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee shall be inaugurating the 23rd Kolkata International Film Festival on 10th November 2017 at Netaji Indoor Stadium fabricating divine moments with the inaugural film Yellow by Mostafa Taghizadeh.

Sri Aroop Biswas, Hon’ble Minister for Public Works and Youth Services and Sports and Director General Mr. Vivek Kumar along with Mr. Bruce Bucknell , the Deputy High Commissioner for UK in Kolkata, Sri Indranil Sen, Hon’ble Minister of State for Information & Cultural Affairs and Tourism, and veteran actress Smt. Sabriti chatterjee, the Chairperson  of KIFF 2017 unveiled the poster of the festival along with the “Golden Royal Bengal Tiger Trophy” for the Best Film.
